Are all Coconut Smuggler products reef safe certified?

Our original trio of Feeling Nauti, Landlubber, and Island Dweller are reef-safe certified. All other products are not "certified" but do NOT have any ingredients that will harm you or our friends in the ocean.

Are Coconut Smuggler hair products suitable for all hair types?

Absolutely! Feeling Nauti was designed to be heavier to act as a barrier to salt water. However, it easily rinses and washes out. Landlubber, our "does everything" hydrating mist, is great for all hair and skin types.

Can I use Coconut Smuggler hair products if I have extensions?

Because Feeling Nauti is oil based, it’s not recommended for tape in style extensions.

What is the self life of Coconut Smuggler products?

We recommend using them within 12 months.

Are Coconut Smuggler products vegan & cruelty-free?

You bet your salty, sun-kissed skin they are! Nothing sneaky here- just ocean-loving formulas that keep things clean and guilt-free. The only thing we test our products on are ourselves (and maybe a few willing beach bums who can't resist a good hair day).

Is the Coconut Smuggler fragrance non-toxic?

Sure is! We love a good, beachy scent, but not sketchy chemicals. Our signature scent is free from bad chemicals like parabens and phthalates. Smelling like summer with us won't leave you questioning your life choices. See our full fragrance statement below.

This fragrance does not contain the following ingredients:

  • Oxybenzone (Benzophenone-3)
  • Octinoxate (Octyl Methoxycinnamate)
  • Octocrylene
  • 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor
  • PABA derivatives (e.g. Ethylhexyl Dimethyl PABA and PEG-25 PABA)
  • Octisalate (Ethylhexyl Salicylate)
  • Homosalate
  • Avobenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane).

ADDITIVES
This fragrance does not contain preservatives including Parabens including propyl-paraben and butyl paraben, Formaldehyde, formaldehyde-donors, Triclosan, Triclocarban, Urea, or BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole).

MICROPLASTIC STATEMENT
This fragrance does not contain intentionally added synthetic polymer microparticles or components containing microparticles.

NANOMATERIAL STATEMENT
This fragrance does not contain any nanomaterials or components that contain nanomaterials according to Cosmetic Regulation (EC)1223/2009.

PHTHALATES
The listed fragrance does not contain phthalates including Dibutyl phthalate, Diethylhexyl phthalate, Butylbenzyl phthalate, di-2-methoxyethyl phthalate, di-n-pentyl phthalate, Diisopently phthalate,Diisobutyl phthalate, Diethyl phthalate, Dimethyl phthalate, Dicyclohexyl phthalate, di-n-octyl phthalate.'

Do Coconut Smuggler products contain sulfates, parabens, phthalates, etc.?

Nope, not on our watch. We wouldn’t put that junk on our own sun-kissed strands, so we’re definitely not putting it in yours. Our formulas are free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and all those other ingredients that make your hair (and the ocean) sad. Just clean, beach-loving goodness—because your hair deserves the best, and so does the sea.

Shipping & Billing

How long can I expect shipping on my order to take?

We ship as quickly as possible. Our orders typically take 3-7 business days.

How can I check the status of my order?

When your product ships, you will get a notification email and a tracking number.

How do I modify or cancel my order?

Once your order is placed, it’s locked in—no take-backs, no switcheroos. Our team moves fast, sending orders straight to our distribution center for fulfillment, which means we can’t make changes to items, shipping address, payment method, or shipping speed. Double-check your deets before hitting that order button, and we’ll handle the rest!

My package says delivered, but it’s nowhere to be found. What now?

Don’t panic—sometimes packages like to play hide and seek! Here’s what to do:

  1. Check around – Sometimes carriers leave packages in a safe spot (mailbox, porch, side door, or even with a neighbor).
  2. Give it a little time – Weird, but true: carriers sometimes mark packages as delivered a day early.
  3. Check with your carrier – They might have more info on where it was placed.

All 50 states in The US of A! Unfortunately, for the time being, we cannot ship internationally.

Returns & Exchanges

What is the Coconut Smuggler return policy?

Not feeling the love? No worries—we’ve got you.

If your Coconut Smuggler purchase didn’t sweep you off your sandy feet, you can return it within 20 days for a full or partial refund. And guess what? We’ll even cover return shipping! (Just a heads-up—any original shipping costs are non-refundable.)

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Products must be new and unopened or gently used to be eligible for a return.
  • If your order included a gift with purchase, please send that back too.
  • We reserve the right to limit refunds or exchanges, with or without proof of purchase.

Bought Coconut Smuggler from another retailer? You’ll need to follow their return policy.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once we receive your return and it is accepted, we’ll process your refund faster than you can say “salty hair, don’t care” (okay, maybe not that fast, but pretty close). It typically takes 5-10 business days for the refund to hit your original payment method, depending on your bank.

Does Coconut Smuggler cover the cost of shipping for returns?

For damaged or defective products - we've got you.  

Just a heads-up: any original shipping costs or non-refundable.

What if my product is damaged?

Yikes! That’s not the Coconut Smuggler way. If your order showed up looking like it barely survived a shipwreck, let us know ASAP.

Send an email to cocoman@coconutsmuggler.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We’ll make it right.
